Tariq ibn ziyad is a great human of Muslim history, besides this he is a honost. Ṭāriq ibn Ziyād (Arabic: طارق بن زياد) was a Muslim authority who driven the Islamic Umayyad triumph of Visigothic Hispania in 711– 718 A.D. Compelled of the Umayyad Caliph Al-Walid I he drove a vast armed force and crossed the Strait of Gibraltar from the North African drift, merging his troops at what is today known as the Rock of Gibraltar. The name "Gibraltar" is the Spanish inference of the Arabic name Jabal Ṭāriq (جبل طارق), signifying "heap of Ṭāriq",[1] which is named after him.
